Linking the dots

Harry waited for Sheila even though the rest of the famished group gobbled down their lunch as soon as they reached the college canteen.

He helped her with Math problems after class, even when others were in a rush to return home .

On Sheila’s Birthday , Harry gifted her a pink teddy bear just because Sheila had once mentioned her fondness for teddies.

Their friends teased them with mushy adjectives that Sheila casually dismissed as faulty hypothesis.

On Valentine’s Day , Harry proposed a ride down  to the picturesque island that had been Sheila’s  dream first date destination with that special someone.

For the very first time, Sheila was linking the dots of love.

This story was written for Six Sentence Stories at Zoe’s uncharted , the cue of the week being “link”. Thanks to Zoe for hosting the challenge.

    • Yes Paul. I really like how love inspires us to be better than we are .
I hope Harry remains true to the person he was in his ” falling in love ” phase .
      Thanks for the comment .
