One more story

“It’s getting dark, Ravi. Lets go back to the inn, ” Maya urges. Reluctantly, Ravi shakes off the beach sand and plods along .
“Whats the commotion all about?”, Ravi asks the receptionist at the inn.
“On summer solstice , ‘she’ visits the inn after sunset to claim revenge.A boarder seems to have heard a non-human shriek from one of the rooms”, the receptionist reports. Ravi stares in mocking disbelief.
“What will happen of the panic-stricken guests now?”Maya interrupts.
“We will arrange for boarding in a hotel in the vicinity that’s only a little more posh.”
“More stories, more business” , Ravi sighs.

    • Dear Rochelle,
Thanks so much for stopping by . I appreciate your kind comment. I too wonder if “she” is just another story . .😊

    • Thanks for stopping by and reading the story , Kalpana. In this tale , the guests are nothing but hapless victims of the maximum profits ,minimum ethics mode of operations of some businesses . The owners, management and staffs of the inn are trying their best to extort twice as much money from the guests by cooking up stories . They have tie-ups with other inns/hotels in the vicinity and hence its a huge nexus. There’s of course a little bit of exaggeration here to make way for a fun read. Hope i have been able to explain myself . πŸ™‚
